Center Of The Universe
Well, maybe not the real center of the universe but close enough for me.

Herd Rock Ranch is home to Work In Progress Studios, various forms of wildlife (deer, raccoons, opossums, rabbits, wild hogs, armadillos, roadrunners, and even a fox or two), some cows, and of course my wife Donna and myself.  We all manage to peacefully coexist in the beautiful piney woods of East Texas.

Herd Rock Ranch is located in Houston County (not to be confused with the City of Houston in Harris County).  We are about twelve miles from the City of Grapeland (home of the annual Peanut Festival every fall).

There is also the Gospel Bluegrass Festival at Salmon Lake Park over Memorial Day Weekend and the Giant Bluegrass Festival over Labor Day Weekend.  Nearby Crockett is home to the Annual World Championship Fiddler's Contest.

In addition to the music there is Christmas on the Square in downtown Crockett each November.  A big event with lots of arts, crafts, food, music and fun for all. The City of Lovelady hosts the Love Fest each February (food, arts, crafts, games, music and fun for all).

Are There Really Cows?

I seem to get ask this question quite often and the answer is YES, there really are cows at the Herd Rock.  The cows at the Herd Rock are quite technically inclined and have their own email address.  Since the cows do not have names they share the same email address.

You can contact them at cows@tommysprinkle.com

In addition to the cows there are the bulls.  Normally we call them Big Bull and Little Bull.  The bulls do not have an email address and have very little interest in computers, email, or the internet.
